January 3, 1943, to July 27, 2023.
Jerry was born to Harold Scurlock and Pauline Waite along with his twin sister Judy on January 3rd, 1943. Jerry was one of 10 children who grew up on the family farm in Iowa. Jerry joined the United States Air Force and served with honor. During his service, Jerry met Marilyn Strong who was a phone operator that would help connect him on his phone calls back home. Jerry and Marilyn were married on January 20th, 1961. On September 24th, 1961. Their first son, Paul E. Scurlock was born. Second son Marc Lee Scurlock followed on 9-24 1962. First daughter Mary Louise Scurlock was born 3-15 1964 followed by a daughter Sheryl Lynn on 12/14/1965 and their youngest son Gerald Allen on May 28th, 1967. Jerry lived a very adventurous life. He was an accomplished pilot who swam through the clouds in the sky and an avid fisherman who left his mark in many waters. He was a HVAC extraordinaire. There is nothing on this earth. He could not fix or share his knowledge or wisdom with others on how to complete a task. His love for music has been passed down through four generations. Jerry was a son, a brother, a father, grandfather, great-grandfather a husband to Marilyn, Kathy, and Renee. He is proceeded in death by his three children. Sheryl, Alan (September 1969) and oldest son Paul (11 2012) his parents, one sister and two of his wives. He survived by his siblings, his son Mark Scurlock daughter Louise Buerkle(Scott) 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Grandpa has missed flying, but now he is forever a captain of the skies.
