Memorial Day Program
Memorial Day Weekend at Historic City View
A Weekend of Reflection, Community, and Remembrance
Join us at Historic City View for a meaningful Memorial Day Weekend as we open our doors to the community for a time of remembrance, connection, and quiet reflection.
Throughout the weekend, guests are invited to visit the grounds, walk among the peaceful surroundings, and experience the beauty and history of our nearly century-old property. With sweeping views of the Salt Lake Valley, downtown skyline, and surrounding mountains, it is a place that naturally invites both reflection and gratitude.
Complimentary hot dogs, cookies, and drinks will be served throughout the entire weekend, creating a welcoming space to gather, connect, and spend time together.
We welcome individuals and families of all backgrounds to come spend a moment honoring those who have come before us.

Our Memorial Day Program will be the heart of the weekend—a special gathering dedicated to honoring the lives and sacrifices of those who served.
The ceremony will include:
• Presentation of the Colors
• 21-Gun Salute
• Taps
• Live Music from the Choral Arts Society of Utah & Utah Pipe Band
• Keynote Address by Councilman Chris Wharton
• A time of prayer and reflection
Light breakfast items will be available prior to the program while food is available. Following the ceremony, guests are invited to continue the day with food and fellowship.
A Place to Remember, A Place to Gather
As part of your visit, we invite you to take a guided or self-paced tour of our historic building and grounds, including our chapel, mausoleum spaces, and gardens. It is a unique opportunity to experience the beauty, craftsmanship, and peaceful atmosphere that make City View so special.
Whether you come for the program or simply to spend a quiet moment over the weekend, it is truly an honor to welcome you.
