Richard Lynn Bingham

Richard Lynn Bingham, age 47, passed away on Friday, January 17th, 2025 due to heart complications. He was born on January 9th, 1978 in Salt Lake City, UT to Serena Asid Larida Bingham and Randy Lynn Bingham.

Richard married his best friend, Catherine (Catie) Nichole Mellen Bingham on June 30, 2018 in the Salt Lake International Peace Gardens, in the garden of the Philippines to honor his family heritage.

Rich was an incredible soul who left us unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an invincible spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Rich was a man who found joy in the simple things—whether it was a quiet afternoon on the lake spent with a fishing pole, gathering around a poker table with friends, or sharing a meal with loved ones. He loved his country and flew the flag any chance he could. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his wife, family, and friends were unparalleled. Always the first to offer a helping hand or a kind word, Rich had a unique ability to make those around him feel special and valued.

For 23 years, Rich was a steadfast member of the Action Transport family. He became the face of Action. His commitment to his work, his colleagues, and his role was evident in everything he did. He was known for his remarkable work ethic, infectious enthusiasm, and genuine kindness. Whether on the job or off, Rich’s presence was always uplifting—he approached every challenge with a positive outlook and a determination to succeed, inspiring all who worked with him.

Rich’s life was a testament to the power of friendship, loyalty, and kindness. He leaves behind a void that will never be filled, but his memory and the lessons he imparted to those who loved him will live on forever.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Bingham; Parents, Randy and Serena Bingham; Daughter, Aubrey Noel Hansen (Bingham); Son-in-law, Hunter Hansen; Grandsons, Dante Martin Hansen and Darien Lynn Hansen; Sister, Michelle Bingham; Brother-in-Law, Aaron Vinot; and Brother, Donald Bingham. Richard is preceded in Death by his Grandma Riley. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00am MT at City View Mortuary, 1001 11th Avenue, Salt Lake City 84103, where we will come together to honor the extraordinary man he was. An open house will follow for anyone who wishes to join.
