Andrew Sheldon Affleck

Our beloved, Andrew Sheldon Affleck was born on September 13th, 1988, and departed his physical shell on 4/2/22 after a 2-month, valiant fight to overcome the perfect storm of health events. He will be so very missed by all that knew him. 

Andy was a self-proclaimed simple man whose interests were diverse. He cared deeply about his family and friends, animals, human and animal rights. He had a beautiful brain and enjoyed using it to pursue his myriad of interests from philosophy, religion, and music (especially heavy metal) to art and yoga, horror flicks, true crime, comedy and podcasts, chess and board games, video games and books. He had a passion for professional wrestling and could have been an announcer, he loved the Jazz and the Broncos. He enjoyed hanging out and traveling with family and friends, hot tubs, and hot springs. 

Andy was preceded in death by his fathers Reed Affleck and Troy Schlutz and grandfathers, Greg (Pops) Schlutz, William Reed Affleck, and Sheldon Neeshan. He is survived by longtime girlfriend Katie Weddington and family, mother Lisa Neeshan, sisters Alexandria Affleck (Zach), Aubrey Affleck (Josh), and brother Forrest Hooker (Brittany) and Ben Turley. Also survived by grandmothers Charlene Neeshan, Tammy Schlutz, Helen Vernieu and Hanae Affleck, aunts Michelle Neeshan (David), Victoria Neeshan (Angel aka Zero Miedo), Allyson Affleck Guyser and Trisha Koukoulias, uncles Evan Anderson and Shawn Schlutz, his beloved nephew Desmyn Gage, niece Zoey Sorensen, cousins Nikita Neeshan, Jonathan Anderson, George and Madeline Koukoulias, Ailyn, Elias, and Samantha Angel and a whole host of others that he called family and friends. 

Funeral Services will be at City View Mortuary located at 1001 E 11th Ave, Salt Lake City beginning at 12:00 noon on April 16th, 2022, followed by a graveside service at Salt Lake City Cemetery which is west of the Mortuary.
