Obituary

Beth Ann Henson, born May 27, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, surrounded by the love of her family.

Beth was the only daughter of Blaine and Beth Stewart and was raised alongside her six brothers. She grew up in a family that cherished the outdoors, spending her early years camping, fishing, and hunting—traditions that helped shape her strong, caring spirit.

On April 15, 1973, Beth married the love of her life, Alvin S. Henson. Together, they built a devoted and loving family, raising five children: Alvin B. Henson (Jasmine), Hattie, Mike (Shannon), Daniel (Jennifer), and Elaine.

Beth’s greatest joy in life was her role as a grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren: Rhiannon Henson/Maravilla (Julio), Kalissa, Emily Henson, Nathan, and Tyler Henson. She loved them deeply and chose to retire from her career as a CNA so she could dedicate her time to caring for and supporting her grandchildren and family.

A woman of many talents, Beth was an exceptional seamstress who lovingly created Halloween costumes, Easter dresses, pajamas for her grandkids, and shirts for her family and nieces and nephews—many of which were worn with pride. She also shared her creativity through crocheting blankets and quilting for new babies, as well as painting and baking. Her fudge and cinnamon rolls were especially cherished and will be fondly remembered.

Beth was able to spend her final days in the comfort of her home, just as she wished, thanks to the devoted care of her sons Alvin and Mike, along with their spouses.

She is survived by her children, her beloved grandchildren, and her five brothers: Jerry, David, Alan, Roy, and Tom Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; her parents; her brothers, Terry and Michael; and her son-in-law, Char.

Beth’s life was defined by her love, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Her services will be held on Monday, May 4, at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3495 S 4850 S, Taylorsville, UT 84129.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are greatly appreciated.
