Darlene McIntosh Limb

Darlene McIntosh Limb

Darlene McIntosh Limb peacefully left this life on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.  She left us much too soon and will be missed dearly every day.

She was born in Oakley, ID on January 3, 1944 into a loving family.  She moved to Salt Lake in the early 1960s to pursue an education in bookkeeping and administrative assistance and graduated from Stevens-Henagar College with a bachelor’s degree.  She maintained several of the dear friendships she made during her time in college.  She put her skills to use in fields of industrial manufacturing management, real estate management and insurance.  Within a few years she met her future eternal companion.  She married Richard Bradbury Limb Sr. on September 29, 1966 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  Her hobbies included crafts, puzzles and music.  She also enjoyed traveling which may explain her fascination with maps.  Probably her favorite trip was a visit to her childhood home in The Basin near Oakley, ID.

Over the years Darlene was blessed with many opportunities to serve in church and her community.  This included ward organist for many years in the Millcreek 6th Ward.  She also served in various roles in the Primary and Relief Society programs.

She is survived by four of her five children: Jennifer Limb, Richard Bradbury Limb Jr, Michele (Michael) Christiansen and Lois Limb, as well as by her grandsons: Shawn Christiansen, Brett Christiansen and Kaleb Christiansen and her granddaughter, Sage Limb.  She is also survived by her sister: Nola McIntosh Christensen.  Preceded in death by her husband and her eldest daughter, Lynette Limb Bednar as well as her parents: Albert McIntosh and Lois Mauretta Butler McIntosh, her sister, Retta Jean McIntosh Jones and her brother Roland McIntosh.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the LDS Millcreek Stake Center located at 4220 S. Jeannine Dr, SLC, UT.  Funeral services will be held at the same location on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m..  A viewing prior to the funeral service will be from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
