Born: July 16, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Ut to B. W. and Helen Dille (deceased).

On September 27, 2018, he lost his battle with cancer. He has gone home to be with his loving wife, Pat Gibson. He met her at Auerbachs and married in 1957 in Heber City, Utah. He is survived by children Pamela Marcusen (Jim) and Scott Dille (MaRhea), brother Douglas Dille, four grandchildren: Weston Marcusen (KJ), Patti Riding (Victor), TyLynn Dille and Zachary Dille; and two great grandchildren: Adrienne and Marcus. Don was known to them as "Grumpy Grandpa."

He was in the Naval Reserve in Oakland, CA. He graduated with a degree in computer science from the University of Utah. He worked for 42 years at L-3, retiring in 2002. He taught his kids and grandkids many everyday valuable things, such as math, woodworking, yard maintenance, house maintenance, and mechanics. We were taught that you can fix anything if you set your mind to it. He loved camping, traveling, wood butchering, golfing, and "making suggestions." He absolutely loved his woodshop and it broke his heart when he could no longer see to keep turning wood as he would say. A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 5, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at City View Mortuary 1001 East 11th Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah.
