Obituary

Duane John Mansanarez II (DJ) passed away on July 14, 2021 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Biloxi, MS to loving parents Duane and Kathleen Mansanarez on April 30, 1981. He grew up in Utah and took advantage of all the beauty it had to offer. He enjoyed all sports and loved being outdoors. Hockey was one of his favorite sports to play, and he was very talented at it. Beyond the sports, he loved being a teammate. He also enjoyed golfing with his best friend and brother, Stephen, their dad Duane, their grandpa Victor and many other family members and friends. He met and married the love of his life, Meghan Jack Mansanarez on April 3, 2003. Together they started a family and had 3 beautiful children, they were his world. He loved teasing, playing and teaching them all he knew.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen, grandparents and Aunt Carol. He is survived by his wife, Meghan, kids, Makayla, Azera & Noah, father Duane (Melaina), brother Stephen (Hollie), Morgen, Madeline, Chandler, Chloe, Paul, his in-laws, Richard and Kathrine Jack, Angelia (Steve), Nathan (Amanda), Adam (Kaeloni), Andrew, Ashlee (Cody), many nieces and nephews, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The outpouring of love and support has been incredible. We want to sincerely thank everyone for the kindness shown to our entire family during this extremely difficult time.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday July 22, 2021 at St. Marguerite Catholic Church (15 S. 7 th Street Tooele, UT) at 11:00 AM with a Rosary being held at 10:30 AM. There will be a luncheon following the service in the church gym.

He will be interred at the City View Mausoleum at a later date.
