James DeWayne Fife , age 74, passed away on September 29th 2025.

We, along with the rest of the world lost an amazing soul, James was most definitely one of kind.

There is no way we could possibly count the amount of people he befriended, made laugh, gave good advice, taught chess to or simply be an ear or a shoulder when someone needed. He was an amazing story teller, the events and experiences he had went through were very entertaining and educational.

His style was epic and so genuine. His taste in music was incredible. The way he would do his best to force you to love yourself and to know your worth. When he told you he had your back there were no truer words. His love was unconditional, when he told you that you would be okay, you knew you would be.

He grew up in Glendale, he worked as a roofer most of his life. He was always in shape and had a terrific tan. He loved to read, which explains why he was so intelligent. He also had street smarts, which no one can teach.

Our heart's will forever be missing a huge piece and we will never be the same. We will hold onto the love he gave and will continue to live to make him proud. For we know he may not be here physically, he is most definitely here in spirit.

We would also like to mention and give thanks to Harmon's, their assistance with this life changing event has been so appreciated.

Our dad is survived by his children, Timothy Fife (Sonya) April Elder (Tommy) Darnell Kimball (Robert) Angela Durant, Carrie Fife (Jimmy) his special grand daughter Amelia Wright and many more grand children, acquaintances and friends. Also, members of the Paul family who through many years stayed close, loved and cared for him.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held Monday, November 17th at "City View Mortuary" located at 1001 E. 11th Ave. from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
