Jenny Ann Blatnick

Jenny Ann Blatnick

1959 – 2017

On November 9, 2017, Jenny passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, after a long, hard-fought battle with lung and heart-related issues.

Born April 22, 1959 to parents Louis and Ruth Hamann.

A wife, a mother, a grandma too. This is the legacy we have from you.

You taught us love and how to fight. You gave us strength, you gave us might.

A stronger person would be hard to find. And in your heart, you were always kind.

You fought for us all in one way or another. Not just as a wife, not just as a mother.

For all of us you gave your best. Now the time has come for you to rest.

So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep. Your love in our hearts we’ll eternally keep.

Jenny is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Guy Blatnick; daughters Adrienne (Joe) Woodson, Sarah (Tyler) Hill, Christine (Gerrin) McClister, and son Joshua (Aubrey) Blatnick; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson; siblings Clay (Beth) Hamann and Lee (Frank) Schiffel; fur babies Frieda and Sammie; special friends Tammy and Paul, and many other countless friends and family members.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Saturday, November 18, 2017 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 pm at City View Mortuary, located at 1001 East 11th Avenue, Salt Lake City.

The family wishes to thank the many staff members at the University of Utah for all the loving care given to Jenny over the years.
