Marcus John Trinite

It is with deep sadness that the family of Marcus John Trinite announces his passing on December 24, 2018. Born on November 11, 1971, he spent his childhood with his sister Yvette in Detroit , MI and later in Arizona before finally moving to Utah as a teen where he eventually settled. As a child he was an avid lover of sports and dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player for the Detroit Tigers. His love of the sport never ceased, and he continued to play in several amateur baseball leagues as an adult. He met Angela Wadsworth in 1995 and they married May 30, 1998 becoming a father to Vanessa and Katrina and later fathering a daughter of his own, Fiona. Aside from his love of sports he also enjoyed camping in the Uinta Mountains and Southern Utah as well as traveling. Before his passing he travelled to Italy and toured Europe, which he considered experiences of a lifetime. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren: Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Harper.

He believed in hard work, often working multiple jobs to put himself through college and to provide for his family. He attended the University of Utah, graduating with a Bachelors in Health Information Management before getting a Masters in Health Administration from Weber State University. The most rewarding position he held was as the Director of Health Information – Western Region for Shriners Hospital lending leadership to five hospitals. He was an active member in professional associations and served as the Utah Health Information Management Association president as well as serving as the president of the Utah Staff Advisory Council.

He passed at his home with his wife by his side on December 24, 2018. Marcus is survived by his parents Mickey and Tricia, his brother Michael (Hanna), sister Rebecca (Jess), and daughters Vanessa Holmes (Jon), Katrina Watts (Preston), and Fiona.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00pm at the University of Utah Officer’s Club: 150 Fort Douglas Blvd, Stale Lake City, UT 84113
