Margaret Madeleine Kimball, age 90, passed away on March 15, 2026, at City Creek Post Acute Rehab. She was born on October 17, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Mary Lavin and Emmett Wright.

Margaret spent much of her childhood and adolescence in Park City, Utah, a place she always considered home. She later returned to Salt Lake City, where she met and married the love of her life, Gilbert John Kimball Jr., on September 17, 1960.

She attended the University of Utah, earning a bachelor’s degree in music. A talented pianist, Margaret had a deep love for the arts and was an avid reader throughout her life.

Margaret was a devoted mother to her daughters, Monica, Catherine, and Alisa Marie. She is survived by her daughter Monica Kimball, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert John Kimball Jr.; her daughter, Alisa Marie; and her siblings.

A celebration of life will be held on October 17, 2026, at City View Mortuary.
