Marty Leonard Davie, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, at the age of 65.
Born on June 16, 1960, to Leonard Monte Davie and Audrey Elileen Heiner, Marty was a devoted family man whose greatest pride and joy came from his children and grandchildren. He was known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
Marty was first married to Barbara, and together they welcomed their daughter, Emily. He later married Sheila Davie on April 14, 1990. Although their marriage ended in divorce in May 2015, they were blessed with three children: Jared (Marianne), Jordan (Danielle), and Jaydin (Paulette).
In later years, Marty found lasting love and companionship with Tiffany Marie Kirk, affectionately known as his "Duck." Their relationship was built on devotion, friendship, and deep love. Tiffany passed away in 2025, and her loss profoundly affected Marty. Following her passing, his health began to decline, but he carried her memory in his heart until the very end.
Marty enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved taking his boys to Salt Lake Bees baseball games and spending Sundays watching football, especially cheering on his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, drawing, spending time outdoors, and beginning each day with a cup of coffee while watching the morning news.
Above all else, Marty loved being a father. His children were the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Marty is survived by his children, Emily, Jared (Marianne), Jordan (Danielle), and Jaydin (Paulette); his grandchildren, Dylan, Ben, Harper, Lizzy, Isaiah, and Sylas; and his siblings, Vickie, Mark, Tamie, Kim, and Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Soni Kay Davie; his parents, Leonard Monte Davie and Audrey Elileen Heiner; and his devoted companion, Tiffany Marie Kirk.
Marty will be remembered for his love of family, his loyalty, his quiet strength, and the joy he found in spending time with those he loved. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply. He was also accompanied through his final years by his faithful dog, Tank, whose companionship brought him comfort and joy.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Historic City View Mortuary, 1001 East 11th Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Marty's life and legacy.
