Matt Sharples, who passed away on May 26, 2023, was a devoted husband, loving step  father, and doting grandfather. Born on February 24, 1967, Matt's gentle, caring, calm, and easy-going spirit distinguished him throughout his life.

Known for his empathetic heart, Matt often shared lessons about the importance of caring for others, exhibiting kindness, and helping those in need. These values left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered and defined not only his approach to life but his relationships as well.

Matt's dedication to his craft as a heavy equipment mechanic was evident in his accomplished career. His love of animals was tremendous and was always bringing them into his home and caring for them like his own children.  However, his most cherished moments in life were his marriage to his true love Kandy Sharples, his step children Kody and Chase along, their beautiful wives Tori and Stephenie, and being a grandfather to his 4 grandchildren Cody, Hadlee, Hampton, and Klein.  The pride and joy that lit up his face when he spoke of his family were unmistakable.

As we remember Matt's life, it is impossible to overlook the tremendous legacy of kind and gentle relationships he built. His love for his wife and grandchildren was incomparable and will forever be remembered by those who knew him best. As we honor Matt's memory, let us strive to embody the same qualities that made him an unforgettable presence in all our lives.
