Obituary

Milton Karl Gehrke was born April 30, 1925 to Karl and Martha Gehrke. He returned to his Heavenly Father on February 10, 2021. He lived his entire life in Salt Lake City, Utah where he met and married his wife Mary Doreen Bringhurst on December 11, 1964. They solemnized their marriage in the Salt Lake City LDS temple in 1973. He is survived by his daughters Renda Gehrke, Shaunna Gehrke Satterwhite(Darren), and Becky Gehrke. He adored his 6 grandchildren and his 12 great grandchildren . He was preceded in death by his parents, wife , and two sisters. On his 18th birthday he was drafted into the Army Air Corps branch of the U.S. Armed Forces and served during WW2 as an AP Propeller Specialist from 1943-46.  In 1986 he retired from the Chevron Oil Company refinery where he worked as a chemist for 36 years.  Milton , "Unca Milty" , had a passion for his family, his LDS faith, and a special love of tennis. He was an excellent player, and won many tournaments over his lifetime . He didn't quit playing until he was 84 , and tired of winning! No services will be held due to Covid 19 concerns.
