"Beloved Sister"

Salt Lake City, UT – My sweet sister, Monica Sanchez, age 52 passed away January 5, 2019. She was born May 8, 1966 in Salt Lake City, UT to Jose Leroy and Fumi Sanchez.

Monica worked as a vocational rehabilitation counsler for the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation and enjoyed helping people who were down on their luck to succeed. Monica was very much loved by all. She attended Judge Memorial High School and went on to Westminster College graduating with a degree in Communications. She had a true love for animals, especially dogs.  She took special care of her little dog Tinna which brought her true joy. Monica is somebody who would do anything for you and always trusted the best in people.

Survived by her brother Fred and his wife Brenda, and her nephew Jeffrey and his wife Jamie.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 am, Saturday, January 12, 2019, followed by a memorial service at 10:00 am at City View Mortuary (1001 East 11th Avenue – Salt Lake City).
