Obituary

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend, Ref Sausedo (86), passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024 at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Ref was born on November 29, 1937, in Gibson, New Mexico to Alfonso and Emilia Sausedo. The family later moved to Dragerton, Utah where he was raised. He graduated from Carbon High School, Class of 1955, where he participated in multiple sports. He was an accomplished boxer winning a Utah Golden Gloves Title.

Ref served in The United States Air Force, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was a graduate of Weber State University with a Bachelor's Degree and earned a Master's Degree from the University of Utah. He worked for multiple companies on many projects ranging from the early development of computers, rocket propulsion and irrigation in third world countries. He especially enjoyed his time with his wife working in Egypt.

Ref was a dedicated fan of everything University of Utah. He was a long-standing member of the Crimson Club and football season ticket holder for over 40 years. The only thing that outweighed his devotion to the "Utes" was his devotion to God and the Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, coaching his sons, watching all sports, sports gambling in Wendover and rock hounding with Bobbie.

Ref is survived by his loving wife Bobbie Sausedo. He will be deeply missed by his sons, Boe (Amy) Sausedo, Roger (Tammy) Sausedo and Toby Sausedo, five beloved grandchildren: Suzanna, Roger Jr. Raymond, Isabella, Julian and two sisters Francis Martinez and Nellie Sausedo.
