30 Jan Richard Henry Bullock
Richard Henry Bullock, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Jan. 25, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 13, 1940, to Virgil and Nellie Bullock. He was the youngest of six children: Gale, Grant, Monte, Elaine, and Renee. He attended Provo High School and attended BYU for a time. He married Fay Clements on Sept. 18, 1959 and had 3 daughters, Dorothy, Rebecca and Kathleen. He later divorced and married Erma Williams on Apr. 23, 1983. She also had 2 daughters from a previous marriage, Cathy and Cindy. He worked as an electronics and computer specialist at Thiokol, Electronic Memories, Quanta and Spirit Technologies.
Richard loved reading, photography, science, rock hounding, and doing family history. His greatest love was researching the pioneer passengers on the Ship Brooklyn, which sailed from New York around Cape Horn and they helped settle Yerba Buena, California, which is now San Francisco. He was also involved with the Mormon Battalion Utah Chapter.
Special thanks to Summit Home Health & Hospice for their amazing care in his last days. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings, wife, Erma and step-daughter, Cindy. He is survived by 4 daughters, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held to share memories of Richard on Sat. Feb. 1, 2020, at 4 pm at the LDS Church Meetinghouse located at 9245 Quail Run Drive, Sandy, Utah. For full obituary go to www.cityviewmortuary.com.
