June 19, 1950 – August 27, 2022

Born June 19, 1950 to Adolfo Gomez and Natalia Hernandez Gomez of Durango, Mexico.

On August 27, 2022 at the age of 72 Rita was surrounded by her loved ones at home when she passed away from Alzeiemers and Dementia.

Rita loved to cook and fill everyone's belly. Satisfaction came from knowing everyone was full. She loved to sing and dance. Most of all she loved to garden and admire her beautiful roses. Rita enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would smile and laugh with joy when she would go on the low rider cruises while watching them bounce around.

More importantly she loved serving God our Lord.

Rita is survived by Son Jorge Rivera, Daughter Christy Rivera(Cory), daughter LuLu Rivera; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by the love of her life Sr. Jorge Rivera, her parents and many other loved ones.

Rita will be cremated and laid to rest here in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rita Gomez service and pot luck Saturday September 10, 2022 from 11:00am-2:00pm
