Obituary

August 12, 1958 – February 26, 2019

Robert "Bob" Douglas Bourque passed away February 26, 2019 at age 60 from a battle with cancer. He was born August 12, 1958 to Joseph and Barbara Bourque in Barstow, California, though he would say his real life began when he dedicated his life to the Lord on Easter Sunday 1984. Bob graduated from Weber High and served in the Navy from 1976-1979. He was married to the love of his life Cindy (Koon) for 35 years. Together they built an amazing life and Bob had his fill of the things he loved most: spending time with family and friends, whether it was fishing, camping, four wheeling or traveling. He worked as an Electrical Engineer Tech at Hill Air Force Base and was able to retire after 30 years as a civilian servant. He was always willing to help anyone and could fix just about anything. He would jokingly say he was the "total package." Bob's first and greatest love was for his Lord and Savior Jesus.  He would share his love of Jesus with anyone and everyone who would listen. He is survived by his wife Cindy, his parents Joseph and Barbara Bourque, and brother James Bourque; his children Ryan (Jamie) Byrns, Scott (Angie) Alsup, Michael (Sara) Alsup, Brooke (Dar) Nelson, Jessica (Ryan) Trump; Grey his best furry friend who will miss him so much; his 10 grandchildren that he loved and adored: Tyler, Abby, David, Emma, Robert, Riley, Wyatt, Colby, Harper and Mavis, along with many dear friends of his spiritual family.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Rd, Layton, Utah. The internment will be held at West Point City Cemetery following the service.
