Simon Craig Larson was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 25, 1984. He was the fourth child, and second son of Craig and Jane Larson. Simon was tragically taken from us on Christmas Eve while riding an ATV doing what he loved best – enjoying life with his friends in the beautiful mountains of Park City, Utah. He married the love of his life, Maryella Weston Weeks, on a sandy beach in Mexico on April 27, 2019.
Simon attended Highland High School and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Utah. Simon had a larger than life personality that radiated positivity, kindness and loyalty. His energy was infectious with a gravitational force that drew people into his circle. Simon made people feel special because his kindness and love were genuine, and they loved him for that. He cherished his extensive family of loyal friends that were so woven into the fabric of his life, they were an essential part of his identity. SFK was not only his brand, but elemental in understanding his world. Simon loved his nieces and nephews, patiently teaching them how to snowboard, build fences and use a chainsaw. He lived his life on his terms pursuing his passions and dreams. From building custom motorcycles to snowboarding around the world, he loved being outdoors and working in his shop. Simon was an amazingly talented artist, craftsman and metal fabricator. His artistry and custom designs continue to be displayed in businesses, hotels and homes across the state. Simon was the sun at the center of our universe and it felt truly "Glorious" to live in the warm embrace of his sunshine.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Ellie, his parents Craig and Jane, his sisters Vanessa and Aubrey, his brother Quinn, any many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Friday January 1 st from 6pm-8pm and a funeral service the following day at 2:00pm on Saturday January 2 nd at City View Mortuary located at 1001 East 11 th Avenue Salt Lake City, Utah, 84103.
