21 Apr Tonya Davison
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. On the evening of April 11, 2025, surrounded by many loved ones, she passed into eternity.
Tonya Davison, age 59, was born on April 5, 1966, to Alberta Ann Sepulveda and George Davison in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by her three children: Ashanti Wilkerson, Aysha Patrice Wilkerson, and Jaquan Wilkerson, her father, as well as the rest of her enormous family, including siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Growing up, she was very athletic and enjoyed a variety of sports, through high school notably excelling in softball and on the swim team.
Tonya was very dedicated to education, she was an educated and intelligent woman who acquired multiple associate’s degrees throughout her lifetime.
She constantly pursued further education and new things to master. She was a jack-of-all-trades, having had many careers, including chef, food service worker, respiratory therapist, cashier, baker, and many more.
Tonya was a giving and loving woman dedicated to serving her friends, family, and even strangers. She was a devout member of the LDS church and loved to volunteer and give back to her community in her free time.
She loved spending time with her relatives and friends. She loved to have celebrations at her home. She was a master of hospitality and comfort, always making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and accepted in her home.
She was taken from us too soon but the impact she had in our lives will live on forever in our hearts. May her ambitions and dedication be an inspiration to everyone.
As Tonya would say “Be Smart. Be successful.”
Please join us in a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at City View Funeral Home, 1001 East 11th Avenue, SLC, Utah, at 1:00 PM, with a luncheon to follow in Magna, Utah, 2650 South 8950 West, Magna, Utah 84044, from 3:30-5:30 PM.

Posted at 10:23h, 26 AprilTonya was a bright light at Ivybrook. She brought so much energy, laughter, and support to everyone around her. She always used to say “work smarter, not harder” — she lived by it and made Ivybrook a fun place. She’s going to be missed more than words can say.
