Walter C Tavey, 71, passed away in his sleep at home on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born October 16, 1946 to Theodora V Marsh and Fracis C Tavey in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Walter served with the US Army as a Sharpshooter and was honorably discharged on October 24, 1966.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Lee DeVries; his sister, Lani Moffat; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 daughters, Amber and Amy Tavey.

Walter is set to be cremated and his remains will be placed at City View Mortuary.
