Paymon Saebi

In loving memory of Paymon Saebi.

A cherished son, brother, and friend, who bravely battled cancer.

Born in Lawrence, Kansas on July 13, 1980, he spent his childhood and teenage years in Tehran, Iran and later moved to the U.S. in 2001. Paymon joined the U.S. Navy in 2002 and served as a weapons specialist G2 aboard the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan, earning the title of plank owner. After an honorable discharge, Paymon pursued a degree in computer science at the University of Utah. Despite his preference for TA duties, he earned his Bachelor’s degree. Known for bringing his guitar to class, his love for heavy metal music resonated with his students. In 2019, Paymon joined Code Corporation, where he made significant contributions to the engineering team and formed lasting friendships. Despite facing illness, these bonds remained strong. He is survived by his grieving parents Mohammad and Homa, brother Sepehr and his wife Hadis, and his girlfriend Marie. Paymon will find his final resting place near his family in Sebastopol, California. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, February 16, at the Code Corporation offices. Further details will be shared soon.

Heartfelt special thanks goes to the dedicated healthcare team at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, whose phenomenal care and service provided comfort and support during Paymon’s challenging journey. Spending considerable time with the staff, Paymon formed close bonds with the compassionate individuals who tirelessly cared for him. Their unwavering commitment and empathy made a significant impact on his life, and the family expresses deep gratitude for the exceptional care provided by the Huntsman Cancer Institute team.
